Dear Ronald
I wanted to reply to his message before I forgot. I have a photograph of George Gubbins b. Knocklong, County Limerick 1810, d. 1881 Chicago. The notation on reverse side states that he was a Captain of Police. George married a Jane O'Farrell, also of Limerick, and her probate records reveal that she had stepson Patrick Gubbins. Is there a connection?
