366 | The final big mystery in Florence's life is that when she immigrated to Canada she indicated that she was going there to "marry W. Bindon" in Vermilion, Canada. There was in fact a William BINDON, widowed, living in Vermilion at the time but there is no evidence that she ever did marry him. In the 1921 Canadian census she is living with William BINDON and listed as a "servant". William BINDON also came from the Somersetshire area. Florence immigrated in 1919 with 2 of her children, William and May. In 1921, Edith and Albert joined her in Vermilion. May married Ronald BIRD in 1925 there. Florence died at her daughter Edith's home in St Paul, MN in 1927. UPDATE 2018: Florence apparently did marry William Bindon 2 years after she immigrated to Canada in 1921. I will add the marriage certificate when I receive it from the Alberta Archives. | FLETCHER, Florence (I03968)

367 | The Last Will and Testament of William COFFEY d 1858 says that his son in law, William RYAN is from Ballingoola, County LImerick, Ireland. I am guessing about the parents of William RYAN based mainly on the naming of his children. I am assuming that his parents are named John and Mary based on his first 2 children. | RYAN, William (I05448)

368 | The mortality among the policemen this year was re- markably high. George Gubbins, lock-up keeper at the Harrison street station, died of cancer. (1881) from book: "History of the Chicago police from the settlement of the community to the present time, under authority of the mayor and superintendent of the force" http://www.archive.org/stream/historyofchicago00flin/historyofchicago00flin_djvu.txt found this message on genealogy.com: Dear Ronald I wanted to reply to his message before I forgot. I have a photograph of George Gubbins b. Knocklong, County Limerick 1810, d. 1881 Chicago. The notation on reverse side states that he was a Captain of Police. George married a Jane O'Farrell, also of Limerick, and her probate records reveal that she had stepson Patrick Gubbins. Is there a connection? 370 | This is a very tenuous connection - I am not completely convinced that the John ZAJICEK living in Chicago was our Jan Nepomak ZAJICEK, but this is how I made the connection. I found a birth certificate for a baby girl born on 11 Jun 1877 (no first name given) to a John ZAJICEK and Franteska KOTVA. In the 1880 Census I found a John and Franseska SEIZAK living with their 3 year old daughter Mary. I believe SIEZAK is actually ZAJICEK. In 1898 there was a death certificate for Franteska ZAJICEK. In 1900 I found a Mary BABKA (married name) living with her husband Frank, and her father John ZAJICEK. It says she was born in Jun 1877. Also John was an undertaker like his brother Vaclav, and I have seen his name on many family member's death certificates. | ZAJICEK, Jan Nepomak (I02777)

377 | Verbal notes from Raymond Blecha before he died, stated that Blanche's parents (Vaclav and Barbara) had three children who were born dead, or died at a very young age. He stated that the first two were girls. That last one (also the tenth child) was male. These total numbers are consistent with what Camille wrote in her statement supporting Blanche's petition for a name change. Also, the 1900 census show that Barbara Zajicek says that has had 7 children, but only 5 are living with them.
